Presidio Sports Management embodies the belief that the following core operating principles are the only way to serve our clients, athletes, teams and the "industry" in general.
Integrity (read: total unabashed, yet tactful, honesty...always)
Loyalty (read: we have our clients' backs...for life)
Hard work (read: willing to really, really work hard)
Intelligence (read: we know what we know and, more importantly, know what we don’t know…see integrity above)
Presidio Sports Management started as a dream, literally. After months of researching and hearing that it was a great idea from friends, colleagues, complete strangers on the street and that "genius" at the Apple Store...PSM was born.
After working as a civil rights attorney and clinical law professor for over ten years, Chris decided to make the dream come true and combine his passion for endurance sports with his passion for helping others. Chris is a triathlete, cyclist and trail runner. Whether training for the next ridiculous endurance challenge on the schedule (double century ride in Death Valley? Done that!) or simply the next mountain to run up at dawn, Chris lives for the challenge.
Chris has worked in the endurance sports industry for over nine years and represents athletes, sport teams and brands in all aspects of sports law and consults on race/event management and sports marketing. Chris's expertise in these areas has been featured in print and online publications including Outside Magazine, Ultrarunning Magazine, Triathlete Magazine and the San Francisco Chronicle and has been heard on NPR and CBS Radio.
Since 2008, John has worked with companies both large and small to understand product market fit, expansion strategy and execution, and brand building opportunities. Much of the work he's done has been in helping companies expand from Japan to the US and vice versa. He has experience working with companies from Asia, US, Europe and Australia.
Along with helping companies expand internationally, he's also had the pleasure to help fitness related organizations, such as Tabio socks and Kids Enjoy Exercise Now, grow awareness and revenue. Working to understand consumer habits through various qualitative and quantitative methodologies, John has taken a data first approach to create growth strategies in both the private and public sectors.
John is excited to be joining forces with Presidio Sports Management to help clients understand the market opportunities in the US and abroad as sports such as running, triathlon, and cycling continue to grow globally.
